Hama art

When it's too cold to go out, the kids have been making Hama-art with Hama beads and even I got inspired. It is surprisingly relaxing to build patterns out of small beads...

Polkka Jam on wood

I have been a fan of Polkka Jam's retro-style posters for quite some time. Now they have printed their lovely illustrations on wood as well. The size of the wooden wall art is 50x70 cm. Beautiful!!!

Organic Shine Society

These are my find for today. Organic Shine Society sells handwoven wool cushions made from vintage kilim. All colours come from natural dyes. What a great cross between urban chic and traditional craftsmanship!

Dollhouse by Ferm

I'm a dollhouse person. When I get old (older) I will build myself a big dollhouse and fully decorate it. Right now I'm letting the children have their house decorated as they like. I like this new dollhouse by Ferm because it is not painted or decorated in any way and it leaves room for imagination.

Knitting helps

I have to post this cool bag by Astorknot, because what it says is so true. If my day has been challenging or stressful for some reason (and believe me, there has been a few of those recently...) I take out my knitting and it usually helps. Hope it helps you too.

Typography art

Artist Christopher LaBrooy makes uncredible 3D typography art. Very impressive! The first one is my favourite.

This year's calendar

This is the calendar I want for this year. It's a wall calendar by Papier Tigre consisting of twelve pieces with nice patterns. Each piece has days marked with numbers and space for notes.

Cardboard town

We own a town! This cute cardboard town comes from Poland. Three different sets are sold in flat packed packages. They can be bought separately to form smaller towns but all pieces also function together as a bigger town. I ordered the town directly from from the manufacture's website papierowemiasto.pl .

Norwegian shopping

I found a great  Norwegian webshop called Funkleshop. It sells nice looking cushions, bedlinen and other textiles and ships worldwide.

Only in Vogue

For some reason I have missed the documentary 'September issue' before, but  I finally saw it past week. It documents the work behind Vogue's September issue. I was so impressed by the talent of Vogue's creative director and stylist Grace Coddington. This is just a tiny peek at her work and one of my favourite fashion editorial, the story of Hansel and Gretel by Grace and photographer Annie Leibovitz.

Fantastic world of Karin

I don't think I'm ever going to get a real dog but I could see myself as an owner of one these dogs. Karin Söderquist is a talented illustrator who makes colourful 3D-illustrations out of wood as well as other works. More of her work in here.

Dots by Yayoi Kusama

Wow, this is brilliant! Obliteration room is a project by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama created for Queensland Gallery of  Modern Art in Australia. It shows what happens when you give thousands of stickers to children and they can place them where ever they want in a white room.

Swing necklace

I found this beautiful swing today. It is designed by a German designer Johanna Richter and it proves again the theory that all you need is good material, simple idea and a little bit of child's imagination. I know all children and many adults too would love this.

Paris, mon amour

One of my New Year's resolutions is to do some travelling. Paris has always been on the top of my list and maybe I'll visit the city again this year. While I wait for nicer weather and springtime in Paris I can visit this paper-Paris from Made by Joel. The template can be downloaded for free in here. And if Paris isn't your thing there are many other printable toys to choose from.
