Cardboard castle
This diy cardboard castle was originally built for a work project. It is made from old cardboard packages of different shapes and sizes and then covered with white tissue paper. Now I brought it home for kids to play with - and to test for durability. And maybe we will paint it if we get bored with white.

Mänttä Art Festival
I did a small summer trip to visit Mänttä Art Festival and I can sincerely recommend it. Pekilo, an old industrial building where the art festival is held is a great looking place and a perfect set for installations and large size art pieces. There are many interesting works, but here are some of the most fascinating ones.
Artists (from the top):
Emma Helle, Mimosa Pale
Jenni Rope
Heli Vehkaperä
Jussi Juurinen
Tatu Tuominen

A different kind of holiday
Sorry for the long silence here. We have moved and most of my summer holiday has looked like this: Endless renovation. It has been an exhausting holiday but finally we are starting to have a functioning home and are able to unpack and settle down. Yippee!

For modern day nomads
Here is a great shopping tip for those who like a bit of nomad spirit in their home. I like it here Boutique is an online store selling carefully selected collection of high-end design home wares, gifts and accessories from different corners of the world. I could offer a home for that Afghan rug.
