These cabinets and desk are so retro but at the same time they look very modern. Using colours would be a great way to freshen up the look of old furniture! I might have to try something similar. These and many more from Swedish company Retro Modern Design.

Piles of suitcases
Belgian designer Maarten de Ceulaer has made these intriguing piles of suitcases exclusively for Gallery Nilufar. All pieces of the series were made in close collaboration with one of most renowned leather artisans in Brussels, Ralph Baggaley. They are both wardrobe cabinets and pieces of art at the same time...what a great idea and great colours.

Airport in a box
I'm not a big fan of airports because they are busy and usually quite ugly. However, this one I like and it's very nicely designed too. The portable play airport from MoMA Store is made out of wood and when playing is done, it can be stored in a box. The box size is roughly 25cm x 23cm and the set includes two aeroplanes, a helicopter and runway tracks.
