I wish I could say I made this, but no... I bought it from a craft market. But isn't it pretty?

Voisinpa sanoa että tein tämän itse, mutta ei sentään. Ostin sen käsintekijöiden myymälästä Järvenpäästä. Korussa on kivasti ripaus kesää ja Frida Kahlo-henkeä.
I seem to be finding cool jewelry now everywhere. I found these great necklaces by Twin Within via friend. The pieces are designed by two Icelandic sisters, Aslaug Iris and Kristin Mariella Fridjonsdottirand handmade from fishing ropes, cords, latex and rubber and all named after cities.

Nyt löytyy ihania koruja joka puolelta. Nämä upeat korut ovat kahden islantilaisen siskoksen suunnittelemia ja tekemiä ja nimetty kaupunkien mukaan.
I'm inspired by bright neon colours. I made a simple necklace out of neon pink shoelace and wooden beads. I also recently bought this great set of bracelets that looks like straight out of the 80's! The painting on the wall is a gift from talented Suki and headband from H&M.
Today I'm admiring the jewelry and art of Julie Thevenot. She has graduated from Paris but currently lives and works as a fashion designer and artist in New York. Her idea of wall art is something totally new and I like her necklaces too.
I'll continue with a jewellery post: Here are some bright neon colours for the dark winter season. These colourful and funky necklaces are by fashion and jewellery designer Blandine Bardeau and they could be on my wishlist anytime.
I have a small necklace workshop on my couch and I'm testing different things. Here is my test with crocheted beads. I used wooden beads and crocheted around them. Quick and easy!
I did some shopping at the Korjaamo Market this past weekend. The packaging was already beautiful enough but here's what was inside: A bracelet so sweet that it could be mistaken for real candy and a Japanese book about wrapping and giftpackaging. The bracelet is from Elvari and book from Peikonpoika.
Sewing thread used to be rolled on these beautiful reels. Too bad they are now mostly made out of plastic. I was lucky to find these old wooden beauties in a fleamarket and made a necklace and some magnets out of them. Both are very simple to do. You can get round magnets from the stores selling craft supplies and for the necklace you only need a strong string.
So, keep your eyes open when visiting a fleamarket...
I like jewellery and I know an interesting piece of jewellery when I see one. London based Jennifer Loiselle makes the most magnificent necklaces, hats and earrings out of colourful ribbons and has an Etsy shop. One of her necklaces would be my choice for today.
